The Terrain

They say size doesn't matter, but in the case of heli-skiing it does. Canada's sheer scale makes it the perfect place to use a helicopter to access skiing, which otherwise would be impossible to get to.

On top of this, the variety of terrain in Canada is unrivalled; you can expect endless pillow lines, giant alpine bowls, massive glacial runs as well as amazing tree runs. So, it is safe to say, in terms of skiable terrain – BC has it all.

If you've never been to British Columbia, now's the time to go. Not only is the powder here incredible, the area is 90 times the size of France's Val lees, and larger than the Swiss Alps, with some 2.64 million acres of snowy slopes nestled close to the Pacific coast, making it one of the world's biggest skiing paradises.

About the Lodge

With comfortable, stand-alone private cabins for each guest, each with a king bed and ensuite, this is your base for exploring our big mountain wilderness terrain. The rustic chic ambiance is authentic to The North and is the perfect place to relax, unwind, and chill after an epic day's riding. The lodge is equipped with a private bar, lounge and games room, and a staff-to-guest ratio of 2:1.

Our chefs work directly with local producers to bring culinary masterpieces to the table and are more than happy to create a custom menu of your choosing. Our unobtrusive and friendly staff will ensure your stay exceeds expectations. Our Koala helicopter departs right from the lodge's doorstep, and guests are transferred from Terrace Airport by helicopter on arrival. Each standalone guest cabin is equipped with a king bed with an ensuite.

Originally constructed as a base for fly fishers chasing world-class steelhead that the river is renowned for, the lodge has an authentic Northern 'rustic chic' ambiance. Take a seat at the Cedar Bar and swap stories with your ski buddies as you explore our selection of local craft beer, wine and spirits. Unwind in the games room with a game of pool or darts, or try the fly-tying bench.

Enjoy après around a wood fire with views of the Skeena Mountains, or relax in the lounge with a glass of fine bourbon.
